28VDC COMBO42-150 GPU

Our Combo 42-150 is a compact Ground Power Unit designed to perform both starting turbines of small aircraft and helicopters, and to support the power phase and pre-flight checks.

To optimize both functions, it has two units: a portable starter with rechargeable batteries, and a small static converter capable of delivering 28V@150Amp.
The advantage of having a power supply and starter combination, makes it possible not to overtax the batteries in all those phases where high amperage spikes are not necessary, but where few amps are needed in continuous duty. The use of the starter module is limited to the turbine start-up phases only, allowing a battery pack with a higher charge. During pre-flight phases, by connecting to a 220V grid, the static converter come into operation and the system keep the starter batteries charged, so they are always ready for use.
